The Story Behind Memories of Corsham

Memories of Corsham grew from a collection of historic picture postcards gathered by Brenda Cuthbertson (my Mum).

Over the years, the collection grew into a fascinating record of Corsham and the surrounding area, capturing streets, buildings, shops, people and everyday life as they appeared in years gone by.

I decided to bring the collection together in book form so that these photographs and memories could be shared with a wider audience and preserved for future generations.

The result is Memories of Corsham – a collection of 239 historic picture postcards offering a glimpse into the past of this much-loved Wiltshire town.

Why I Created the Book
My aim with Memories of Corsham is simple: to preserve and share a little piece of Corsham's history.

For people who remember the town as it once was, I hope the picture postcards bring back memories.

For newer residents and younger generations, I hope they provide an opportunity to discover what Corsham looked like in the past.
